Today i remember a man i have never met. A man my father has never met. A strong, brave man named Hector Brown. My Grandfather. A man who died fighting for his country, and never got to even see his son.
Today is the day we remember such people in our lives, or just the men and women still out there fighting. I'm sure everyone has their own story, someone they lost, or a friend in the Armed Forces. Which is why i'm completely shocked at the lack of Remembrance Day, or for the American's, Veteran's Day stuff on this site today. Fuck, Flag Day, and Groundhog day gets more attention. It's sad. I am not the most patriotic person in the world, but for one day, i show my respect to those that have lost their lives, limbs, or loved ones. It is sad it is only for one day and for that i feel guilty for that. But i ask you..... How are you showing your respect today?
Here ends the rant.
