"The search for a missing Fort Hood boy has ended tragically.
At about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, 2-year-old Isaiah Conway was found dead four miles from his home.
The toddler went missing Friday evening.
For most of the weekend, two divisions of soldiers searched an area creek where the boy was last seen.
At the height of the search, more than 400 community emergency response personnel and 1,300 soldiers were involved.
Isaiah Conway is the son of Specialist Zachary Conway and his wife Gina.
Specialist Conway was serving in Iraq at the time of his son's disappearance.
He's now home with his wife and family.
Initial indications suggest Isaiah fell into Nolan Creek and died by accidental drowning.
Killeen Fire Chief Jerry Gardner described the area where the
boy's body was found as being thick with brush.
Fort Hood was hit by heavy rains and strong storms on Friday. A normally dry creekbed measured 6 feet deep in some spots. And officials said the water rushed by at speeds of 40 mph Friday
night.
The water had receded by Sunday."
