So at about 3am this morning we got notified that an armed intruder or two broke into our refinery as they were being chased by the police. After about 15 minutes, a co-worker and I (Funny thing, the co-worker a woman is an ex-police officer and I'm an MP in the Army Reserve) left our office to go to another office to get something and chat with the rest of the team. Walking right at us is an individual that clearly does not belong in the refinery, I ask if he has an access badge and he says NO. We then simultaneously secured his arms and took him to the ground and searched him for weapons, he had none. We notified our supervisors and awaited the arrival of the police. Once the police arrived, they cuffed him and later in the shift informed us that the person were involved in an earlier homocide and that's why they were being chased in the first place. Made for a fast final 3 hours.
