People always watching
Every move she made
Never had the time
To make her own mistakes
She's start to lose her balance
In this superficial race
And someone'd always catch her
And put her in her place
This little girl all grown up
All expectations met
Her life has been "so" wonderful
and now her future's "set"
Upon that pedestal she sits
As they crowd around
She laughs and smiles all she can
Tries not to let them down
Tired of being strong
And doing all that's right
She wants him just to hold her close
And let her cry at night
Not looking for a hero
Or another fan
She just wants to be herself
With the one that understands
The pain is getting harder
To deal with each day
It grows inside her body
As times ticks away
What once was happiness
In the eyes of those she knew
Has grown into sorrow
For there's nothing they can do
Her dignity is stripped
With each passing night
She's not sure how much longer
She can put up this fight
Her breaths are getting shorter
And the people come and go
She knows its getting close
To the time she must let go
Tired of the day to day
She goes to bed that night
And prays to God to take her
Before the morning light
Day light came that morning
And the morning after too
It wouldn't be much longer now
They both knew
He said "good night, I love you"
As he tried not to cry
And sure enough that morning
He woke and she had died
The cancer had attacked
And took her final breath
Leaving him to mourn
His fiancee's death
Her skin was pale in color
And cold to the touch
Gone for only moments
He had missed her so much
The way that she would smile
With her devilish grin
The person that she was
With him and only him
The way she gave herself...
An unconditional love
Sad...for all the memories
He could think of
But some how he took comfort
In the look upon her face
Her pain and suffering ...gone
Eternal peace tooks its place
