As she looks out the window, she sees cars pass as she is waiting for her man to get off the road. She is missing him
terribly as the kids are as well. She needs and wants him home more, but knows that they have to sacrifice the time
with him so that they have money and the things that they need. She realizes that raising the kids is a hard job, but
even harder for him to leave the family he adores and doesn't want to leave, but he knows that he has to. She knows
that he hates to leave the family as much as she and the kids hate to see him leave. She has an idea in her head, due to
her dad leaving at a young age, that her man won't come home, but knows in her heart that he will come home. She
sometimes finds herself praying that he will come home, and always prays for his safe return. The road is an
unpredictable place and a scary one as the traffic gets more and more clogged and people deal with road rage with
violence. He knows that she worries about him, as he does for her at home with the kids. She realizes he worries about
her and the kids, but knows that she is the safest. He runs his miles so that they have everything that they need. The
kids are growing each and everyday and he is missing them grow and learning new things. He knows that she is doing
her best with them but they are young enough that they need their daddy spending as much time with them as
possible. He is trying to fulfill a dream of his to have a career where he is home everynight, and she is supporting him
all the way. She supports him no matter how much money they have or don't have. She is there to stay with him, and
hopes that he realizes how much she loves him. He has told her numerous times that she and the kids are everything
to him, his life. As his car pulls in the driveway, she is excited that he has made it home safe and sound. He is ready to
be home to see his loving family, and spend time with each one of them. She is excited as he walks through the door,
she knows he is tired, needs a shower, hungry, and wanting to relax, she goes for the hug and kiss. She feeds him a
good home cooked meal, he gets a shower, and he relaxes by watching tv and yet he still has energy to play and
interact with the kids, as they are all excited that he has come home. They enjoy the days that they have to share
with each other, knowing that it's a limited time together. She feels as it is like seeing a good friend for a short
time after being apart for years. There is no way to totally catch up and get the time that they need together. He
feels as he hasn't done enough in the short amount of time that he has, but she is proud and realizes that he can
do so much in the two days that they have. She is just happy to have him home and with her and the kids. The things
they do get to accomplish they feel good about, but knowing that they have so much more to do. The two days at home
go by so fast before they blink good he is heading back out to that unpredictable highway trying to make a living.
She feels like she is losing apart of herself everytime that he leaves, and knows that he doesn't want to leave them,
but also knows right now he must. They kiss and hug as if they will never see each other again. They both hate saying
goodbye, so they say, "See you soon, I love you" This way it's not goodbye it's just see you soon. She prays that he
has a safe trip there and back, and that he makes it back safely to her and the kids. A trucker's life is a struggle
for each party and especially the kids, if you have any. She knows that with each job, career, decision there are
compromises and give and take. For her,the trucker is the one that loses both ways, no matter how hard he drives,
and works the paychecks can never replace the time that they would have together if he was home more. She
feels as if he won't come back, but also knows that in heart of hearts that he will always come home safe and sound
unless something unforseen or tragic happens. She knows that he will do anything and everything to get home safe and sound. So please let's be nice when you see a trucker trying to pass you or on the side of the road. They are out there working hard to make a living. If you are not sure how much space to give them, let me know i am here to help. Please be safe, take care, Hugs!
