Good morning Mumm land,
A Victorian home is my dream home.
A low-key dream of mine is to run a bed-and-breakfast from one.
Making this dream reality obviously the bank has to help with.
My mom stand behind me on this one,as well as my uncle.
My original dream was to buy one super cheap (for a Victorian home)That needed a lot and I mean a lot of renovations.Iām talking good bones but thatās it.
Iām told I donāt know what Iām getting myself into with that one.
Hereās the thing most banks wonāt approve a loan for a run down Victorian home.
They will however approve for one that they can profit off of .Which of course.
Itās kinda like if I actually want to do this I have to choose between the two dreams and not have them as one.
So if it were you would you choose the rundown Victorian home that you can spend your time fixing it up little by little starting with only the ground level livable. Nix the B&B idea
Or would you go for one thatās move-in ready at the bank approves of but youāre forever in debt and itās no longer hands-on. But have your bed and breakfast. .
Or maybe thatās where leap of faith so to speak comes in.
Thereās also other things to look into like getting it historical landmark if itās old enough,That will make things easier.
