In those moments when it is it hard to see your direction, remember: The darker the sky, the better the stargazing. There is always something special in the journey, and sometimes those little surprises can be the very things that help you find your way.

You are no small thing. Sure, in comparison to the Universe, we humans seem pretty tiny. But, the energy that gives you consciousness? It is the same energy born from the stars. That body of yours contains the same atoms and elements that make up planets, just in a different arrangement. So, don't ever let yourself feel like a small thing when you are created with the same majesty as an entire galaxy.

Choose your thoughts wisely, for they are the building blocks that create your life. When you think positive, things will be positive. When you think negative things will be negative. Nothing can affect you more than your own energy, and nobody can change your future but yourself, so make sure it's what you want!

You don't have to settle for a life less than you are capable of living. Let your passion flourish and never tell yourself you can't do better. You can do nearly anything you put your mind to. There is always another staircase to climb, you just have to be willing to take the extra step. No matter what calls to you or pulls on your soul, this is your time to reach out and grab it.

A life filled with an abundance of little, precious moments is one truly worth living. When you take time to appreciate the simplest things in the world, this earth becomes irrefutably beautiful. Listen to the birds chirp, watch autumn leaves floating in the wind, and treasure the smell of blossoming flowers. Don't take these moments for granted, but do grant yourself time for these moments.

True friends are hard to come by. They are like diamonds, precious and rare. When you find them, cherish them because there are fake people everywhere and they will stop at nothing until they see you fail. Never listen to the ones who say it can't be done, work together with the ones who believe it can.

Love is one of the greatest ways to happiness. To truly feel loved evokes a feeling of total acceptance. Too often, though, we think that romantic love is the only valid type of love. Not true! Know that being loved and accepted by family and friends can also bring you deep and fulfilling, amazing happiness. The greatest happiness, though, comes from loving yourself.

Sometimes we stick with something that isn't working because we can't bear the thought of having wasted our time and energy for nothing. It is okay to not want to give up. But when you take your best shot at something, it's never a waste nor a defeat. It takes bad experiences to really appreciate the good ones. So, next time something isn't working out, try saying to yourself, "I must have needed that!" and give yourself permission to move on. You can use what you learned to grow and nail it next time.

A volcano may appear dormant for decades, even centuries, but the underlying pressure remains. When anger roils beneath the surface for too long, it becomes like magma far beneath the earth's core, building with nowhere to go. Silence and denial may prolong the explosion, but really just worsens it when it finally blows. Cry it out. Punch that pillow. As long as you don't unpack and live there, you can get some relief and go right on back to nourishing your soul.

There's more than blood to being related. Just one person truly caring about you --- now that's family! It doesn't matter if you've known them your whole life, or five minutes. Cherish those who make an effort to keep you in their life and freely share their special energy with you.

Failure has become such a negative word in our society. We fear it and are embarrassed by it. Yet, everyone has failed at some point in their lives. Instead of being ashamed of failure, when we learn and grow from it, we never truly fail --- we evolve and become even better.

You are the game master behind your greatest triumphs and hardest setbacks. Every great checkpoint you reach is yours to celebrate. Likewise, every error and glitch is yours to claim as well. Know that you, the creator of your storyline, have the ability to take control of the good and the bad that you put out into the world. Game on.

Tomorrow belongs to those who claim it. The world moves forward without fail, but progress is also a process. Move forward, even if it takes a while for you to find your stride. A book isn't written in a day; slowly, the pages add up. Stake your claim, gain a steady footing and a steady pace, and then see where it takes you.
