Here’s to November, special because of Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. November begins the winter season; it’s calm before the hectic holiday hustle and bustle. A great thing to remember and a better thing to do, is to work with the construction gang and not with the wrecking crew. Welcome October Three simple rules in life
If you don't go after what you want, you will NEVER have it
If you don't ASK, the answer will always be NO
If you don't step forward, You'll ALWAYS be in the same place We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love..... and then we return home. RIP Charlie On this day… 24 years (September 10th) ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00 a.m., Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment, life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.” There's something undeniably enchanting about September—the way the world starts to slow down, the air turns crisp, and the landscape transforms into a vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows. It's the month that ushers in cozy sweaters, warm mugs of tea, and the irresistible pull of all things autumn. Happy Labor Day to the workers of every field! The world runs on your contributions and you all deserve respect, recognition, and a day to relax. We hope you have a great one! Optimist Creed: As you ramble on through life, whatever be your goal, keep your eye upon the doughnut and not upon the hole. No matter what age you are, or what your circumstances might be, you are special, and you still have something unique to offer. Your life, because of who you are, has meaning June’s warmth, laughter, and bright days have come to an end. July is knocking on the door like a friend with good news and lemonade in hand. Let’s kick back, laugh a little louder, and welcome this fiery month with open arms. Last month was amazing. Here is another great month filled with new ideas, new innovations and new opportunities. It's a month for BRIDES, DADs and GRADs. May you all attract many positive ideas this month, Today will never come again. Be a BLESSING. Be a FRIEND. ENCOURAGE someone. TAKE TIME to CARE. Let your words HEAL and not WOUND In May 1868, the Grand Army of the Republic, a Union veterans' organization, declared May 30 a Memorial Day, or Decoration Day, to honor the country's recently fallen soldiers and decorate their graves with flowers. The holiday spread throughout the country and later expanded to honor all the United States' fallen soldiers after World War I. It became an official U.S. holiday in1971. This new month is your opportunity to chase your dreams with renewed energy. Keep believing in yourself and stay focused! Life is short, eat dessert first Remember... It's NOT about the bunny, it's about the lamb Valentine's Day is not just for couples..... It's about love for all the people in our lives. So let's celebrate love today in all its forms. Happy Valentine's Day! Eventually something will be here Today is the last day of Christmas, also known as the Feast of the Epiphany, celebration of the Magi. My family celebrated it as "little Christmas" and would give each other a little gift. |
